600 Gold Per Hour Farming Fish Feasts in WotLK

The Fish Feasts are one of the best cooking buffs, and the most used raid buff given by cooks. You can make a lot of gold just farming the fish needed for the Fish Feast.

But of course you’ll need to know exactly what to fish and where to go, right? Well that’s where this quick guide will come into play.

Requirements

Fishing Skill 400+

Fishing Pole

Lures that give you extra fishing.

(Find Fish, this ability really really helps)

Fish Feasts Materials

1x Northern spice

2x Musselback Sculpin

2x Glacial Salmon

2x Nettlefish

So the idea here is to fish up as many of the fish as possible, then to list them on the Auction House for a huge profit. Some servers may not even have anyone actively farming these, in which case you can make twice as much gold.

Musselback Sculpin

Really the only place worth mentioning is Lake Kum’uya Northeast of Warsong Hold. It has a 90% drop rate, and each node has 3-5 catches in it.

Glacial Salmon

Easily caught in the rivers of Grizzly Hills. It’s easiest to ride or fly along the river that runs north from the east side of Venture Bay then up to the lakes on the north side of the zone.

Nettlefish

Fish up some of the Nettlefish Schools in Sholozar Basin, just follow the rivers and you will find plenty.

In just one hour you can easily catch enough fish for 20 or more fish feasts for yourself. I’ve found that you can easily list the stacks on the Auction House for 20g or more profit.

WoW Gold Tip – 100 – 300g Per Hour

For a long time I have been making gold selling the Admiral’s Hat recipe, and with out even considering it, I realized the other day that there is a lot of gold to be made by selling the hat as well.

I can generally sell one for the 40-50g price range, and all the mats are fairly easy to get. But this tip isn’t about selling the recipe, or the hat.

While it is true that you can make a lot of gold doing either, you will find when crafting the hat for profit, that most items are very often found on the Auction House, and can be picked up for a decent price.

There is of course one small exception. The Long Elegant Feather. This is one of those items that when players come across it, they are more likely to vendor it then sell it on the Auction House, because they don’t really know it’s value.

I’ve been able to sell these for 6g each, and collecting them is fairly easy. They’re dropped by Frayfeather Hyppogryphs in Feralas.

You’ll want to start off in the High Wilderness (southern Feralas). Make sure you’re not killing the Frayfeather Stagwings, they don’t drop the feather.

The drop rate on the feathers is about 33%, and the average gold per hour is 100g to 300g depending on your server and your luck.

When you’re selling these on the Auction House, you can sell them in single stacks, or in stacks of six.
